12 Eco-Thought Leaders You Should be Following

It’s pretty cheesy, but there is no better use of the term “we’re in this together” than when we talk about sustainability. Every single one of us are accountable to each other when it comes to taking care of our home, and to be a good roommate takes a bit of practice.

“One of our founding principles at Sustain Beauty Co is to make the practice of sustainability approachable,” said Valorie Tate, founder of Sustain Beauty Co. “We are determined to make the subject an area of discovery, inspiration, and non-judgemental positivity.”

As a community of like-minded brands, thought-leaders, artists and owners we compiled 12 inspiring leaders in the sustainable salon space you should be following to get inspired:

Sustainability is an ever changing topic, with new innovations and information coming out daily. So much that it can make some salon owners and stylists feel paralyzed and reluctant to try or discuss opportunities to change. However, as we start the momentum towards a greener future, it’s important to remember the concept of good-better-best. While we are still learning what is ‘best’, focus on what is ‘better’ than what you are doing today. Before you can go carbon negative, or regenerative, you have to work towards carbon neutral. And to become carbon neutral, you have to become carbon aware.
