In its second year, the learnings were astonishing in some areas, expected in others, but incredibly valuable as we evaluate new products and programs to help our industry pave the way towards the future. 1. High Recycling Engagement:
A significant majority of respondents (64.11%) actively recycle at their workplaces, suggesting a robust baseline commitment to sustainability within the industry.
2. Perception of Environmental Risks:
Concerns about the depletion of natural resources are prevalent, with particularly high worries about ocean life (78.32%), air quality (82.52%), and water (70.25%). This indicates a broad awareness of environmental issues among industry participants.
3. Urgency Around Global Warming:
A substantial proportion of respondents express considerable anxiety about global warming, with 41.74% extremely worried and 40.07% somewhat worried. This high level of concern reflects a growing recognition of climate change impacts.
4. Willingness to Support Sustainability:
There's a strong willingness to adopt more sustainable practices, with over 93% of participants inclined towards changing their lifestyle or business operations to support environmental sustainability.
5. Importance of Sustainable Practices in Business Relationships:
More than 85% believe it's crucial that the brands they work with are committed to better environmental practices, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in business partnerships within the beauty industry. These insights reflect a significant alignment within the salon industry towards environmental concerns and proactive sustainability practices, highlighting both personal and professional commitments to ecological health.
